Memorial Day Weekend is the official kickoff for summer.  And with summer comes all kinds of barbecues, pool parties and grill outs at the lake. I have the PERFECT recipe to take to your next summer social. It’s quick. It’s easy and I always bring my dish home empty. Creamy Jalapeno Ranch Dip!

This recipe only needs a few ingredients: Cilantro, Ranch Dip Mix, Diced Jalapenos, Sour Cream and Cream Cheese.

To make yours just put the cream cheese (softened) and sour cream in a food processor and blend. Then add the ranch dip mix. Blend again. Then the can of diced jalapenos. We like it hot in this house. If you like it mild, start with a half can and go from there. Then add a bunch of cilantro. I usually pull the leaves from the stems but if you’re in a hurry, just stick the whole thing in. The cilantro gives it a beautiful green color too.

Blend one last time and Presto! Creamy, ranch-y, jalapeno-y goodness. Perfect for dipping raw veggies, tortilla chips, veggie chips, pita chips or anything else you have on hand. Isn’t everything better with ranch?

YUUMMM!!! This sounds great. My husband has been asking me to find a Cilantro Ranch Dressing and I bet I could make this a bit thinner for him, adding the jalapenos sounds great. He likes the cilantro ranch dressing served at Bikinis on Sixth St, working downtown he eats there almost once a week.

    • I think if you use low fat sour cream, low fat cream cheese or nufchatel, and plain yogurt instead of the cooking cream it would be thinner and still taste great. Use some whole grain chips to dip or even make some spicy chips. Use corn tortillas cut them into triangles, spray with Pam and sprinkle a seasoning mix (fine sea salt chili powder and garlic powder). Then bake them until crisp. This will pump up the flovor even with the origional version. Maybe add a little spritz of lime juice to the chips before serving also. Serve with a skinny margarita!

  206. I made this yesterday for a Memorial Day BBQ. It was absolutely amazing and VERY addictive. The only problem that I ran into was my food processor was not big enough and it created quite a mess. Other than that I will be making this again very soon! Thanks for sharing

  207. lindsay smith says:

I made this tonight and it was a HUGE success at the 4th of July party…I substituted greek yogurt for the cooking cream and sour cream and used fat free cream cheese and it was awesome. Thanks for the great recipe!

  208. This sounds like the dip at chuys

  209. Sorry if this is a silly question :) but if I’m halving it, do I just cut out the cooking creme & only use the 8oz cream cheese & 8oz sour cream? What about the ranch dip? 1 or 2? Thanks abunch!

    • Yes, 8oz Cream Cheese, 8oz Sour Cream, 1 packet of ranch dip, 1/2 bunch cilantro, 1/2 can diced jalapeños or more if you like it spicy.

  210. Lori Martin says:

Could you use parsley? Not a big cilantro fan?

  211. Lori Martin says:

Could you use parsley instead of cilantro? Not a big fan of cilantro.

    • YOu probably could it just would give it a different flavor. Maybe the flat leaf parsley that doesn’t have as strong of a flavor.

  212. We made it without the cooking creme and it has come out runny. Is there a way to make it thicker?

  213. Christy Anderson says:

Made this for NASCAR race in Ft Worth this weekend and everyone loved it! Left chunks of jalapeño in it and that seemed to be a hit! Good with veggies too

  214. This is going to be a “must make” for the holidays! Thanks for sharing!

  215. This is yummy!! Just made it, we will be eating dip for days :)

  216. My friend made this! She put in fresh jalepenos (de-seeded and chopped up finely in the food processor)– IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD!!! Not too spicy, but had great flavor! Very, VERY YUMMY!!

  217. A friend of mine made this dip and it was soooo freakin awesome! I will say that it is very spicy though so if you can’t handle the heat you might want to cut back on the jalapenos.

  218. sheila miller says:

This stuff is addicting!!!! Once you make it, be prepared to make it again very soon! Excellent as a salad dressing or over hot baked potatoes too. But for dipping is divine!!!

  219. Pretty good, I’d give five but my tablet won’t let me. Side note, unless you have a huge food processor, blend up the cream cheese cilantro and jalapenos in the processor then mix the rest with a hand mixer.

  220. We had a carry in at work And my supervisor made this, oh my was it good. This would be good on a baked potato, which is what I’m planning on doing with what I brought home. This is a must try dip.
