As promised in my post about the weekly deals at Randalls, I’m doing a dedicated post for the special Proctor & Gamble promo right now.
When you spend $25 in Proctor and Gamble items, you’ll get a $10 Catalina coupon to use on your next order. This works out to a 40% savings on some top brands. Some key points:
- You can do this only once per transaction.
- The $25 should be based on your PRE-coupon total.
- I’m hearing reports that the Catalina “rolls.” This means you can do a second transaction and use the first $10 Catalina to help reduce for the second transaction and still generate the $10 Catalina.
There appears to primarily be laundry and cleaning supplies participating. You will not find a list of qualifying items in your store flier. Instead, you will need to look for specially marked tags in your store to verify the item (or particular size) is included in the promo. The Krazy Coupon Lady has a pretty good list of items HERE if you’d like to check it out.
One reason this promo is so hot is because when you save your receipts, you can submit them toward the $100 Year of Savings coupon book I posted about the other day. So not only are you saving 40% before manufacturer coupons but you’ll also get $100 in high value coupons if you do two transactions.
Here is one scenario to get you going:
ITEMS
Dawn Hand Renewal – $2.49
Downy Fabric Softener – $3.99 (with in-ad coupon & Limit 1)
Febreze Air Effects – $3
Gain Detergent – $6.99
Joy Dish Soap – $2.49
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (2ct) – $3.50
Select Tide Varieties – $5.99
Subtotal: $28.45
COUPONS
-Use $.50/1 Dawn Hand Renewal coupon (PG 1/17)
-Use $1/1 Downy coupon (PG 2/7)
-Use $.50/1 Febreze coupon (PG 1/17)
-Use $.50/1 Gain coupon (PG 2/7)
-Use $.30/1 Joy coupon (PG 2/7)
-Use $.50/1 Mr. Clean coupon (Home Made Simple Coupon Book)
-Use $.35/1 Tide coupon (PG 2/7)
Total After Coupons: $21.55
-Get $10 Catalina coupon to use on your next order
Final Price = $11.55 for all 7 items
One thing to note, in-ad coupons are tricky. Sometimes they affect the Catalina, other times they don’t. This scenario considers that the in-ad coupon for Downy Fabric Softener WILL affect the Catalina so I used the lowest price in my scenario. If you are feeling adventurous and would like to test the waters, you can leave off the Mr. Clean Eraser and see if you will still get the $10 coupon. Considering the full price of the Downy ($5.99), your subtotal would be $26.95.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the post Shellie! I wanted to add that I received an email for $1/1 Dawn, so maybe there is a printable out there for it. Home made simple mailer also has $.75/1 Magic eraser and lots of Febreze coupons. I am interested to see what everyone comes up with.
Wow! Time to buy cleaning supplies! Thanks for the info!
I did this deal today buying 2 bags Iams dogfood 10.99 each and Bounty big rolls 12.99 and got the Catalina. Good deal for dog food!
I just got back from my Randalls and had to speak to the manager to get a $10 credit card. I spent $42.00, used about 10.00 worth of coupons so my AFTER coupon total was 31.00. I was told that I didn’t qualify because I used coupons. THe checker had to make a phone call and was told I could not get the $10 bc of coupon use. I then went to the courtesy desk (the line was getting long) and the lady there tried to tell me the same thing. I explained that EVEN WITH THE COUPONS, I had spent more than 25 dollars. SO … she had to call the manager. He argued about it and I said I would stay there until they took care of the problem. He finally said, “fine, give her a tip card”.
I HATE RANDALLS – Why do I keep falling for their gimmicks??
