Shellie,
Now that you have been using Cellfire for a while, I’m hoping that you can answer a couple of questions for me. : )
First: In my city Cellfire works for both Kroger and Randall’s (Safeway). Can Cellfire discounts be stacked with both store and manufacturer coupons at both stores? Or does Cellfire cancel out some other coupons? What about catalinas?
For example, if I have a 50 cents off 6 Yoplait cups coupon through Cellfire, and an identical coupon printed from coupons.com or redplum.com, and an identical store coupon… does that mean I’ll get $1.50 off? Or less?
Second: I understand that they need the cell phone number during registration. However, once I’ve registered, do I ever need to use the phone again if I don’t want to?
Thank you.
I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere, and these questions are the only things keeping me from using Cellfire.
Deb,
Here’s the best answers I can give to your questions.
1. You are not supposed to use Cellfire coupons with manufacturer coupons. However, there is really no way to avoid this because once you add a Cellfire coupon to a club card it cannot be removed until it is used. I can’t speak for Kroger computers but the Randalls computers are not set up to refuse a Cellfire coupon when a manufacturer coupon is used. This could change as technology improves but for now it is possible to use them together.
2. Yes, Cellfire coupons can be stacked with store coupons. Since they are manufacturer coupons, there is no issue with this.
3. Cellfire should not cancel out any other coupons. As for Catalinas, I’m not certain. I know most Catalinas print when you buy a stated number of products or a stated value of products. For a stated number, the Cellfire would not cancel them out. For state value, I’m not certain. At Randalls, Catalinas print based on your pre-coupon total. This usually includes the eCoupons as well, because those only come off once your club card is swiped so it should not be an issue. I cannot speak for Kroger.
4. I believe the cell phone is to prevent people from signing up with multiple accounts. I only use my cell phone as a log in. I got one text message when I registered, confirming the number as real but since I have received no further texts or phone calls from Cellfire.
Hope that helps!
That’s great, thank you! I think I’ll give it a shot then.
