If you’re new to couponing and don’t have a huge stockpile of coupons, you can still participate in the Living Well Promo! Here is a scenario I put together for you that only uses internet printable coupons. Remember when you print them, hit your back button to print a second copy.
Buy These Items:
2 Boxes DreamField Pastas – $4
1 Bag Good Life Dog or Cat Food – $4.99
2 Cans Muir Glen Tomatoes* – $4.10
2 Cartons Trop50 OJ – $5
2 Packages YoPlus Yogurt – $5
1 Bottle of Bright Green Bleach – $1.49
1 Bags of Mission Tortillas – $2.50
2 6-packs of Deer Park Water (also known as Ozarka in other markets) - $3.98
Subtotal = $31.06
Use these Coupons
-Use 2 $1/1 Dreamfield Pasta Coupon HERE OR HERE ($2)
-Use 1 $3/1 Good Life Coupon HERE ($3)
-Use 2 $1/1 Muir Glen Coupon HERE ($2)
-Use 2 $1/1 Trop50 Coupon HERE ($2)
-Use 2 $1.50/1 YoPlus Coupon HERE ($3)
-Use 1 $1/1 Bright Green HERE ($1)
-Use 1 $1/1 Mission Tortillas HERE ($1)
Total Value of Coupons = $14
Pay $17.06 out of pocket
Earn 1 $10 coupon to be used on your next order (For Living Well Promo)
Earn 1 $2 coupon to be used on your next order (For Buying Deer Park Water)
Final Price = $5.06
If you have access to more than one computer, you could do this scenario multiple times. Once you get the $10 coupon, you can use it to pay for your next transaction.
Notes:
*Not all stores carry the Muir Glen line. If your store doesn’t have them, buy 2 more 6-packs of Deer Park water and 1 extra bag of Mission Tortillas. You will pay $19.45 out of pocket but get $14 back in coupons (10 LW + 4 Water). That’s a final price of $5.45.
-Be sure you check all shelf tags to ensure you are grabbing ones that are part of the promo. Not all OJ and YoPlus flavors qualify. You must check the tags!
-If your coupon does not print. Go to customer service and nicely explain what happened. They will very likely right the situation.
For more scenarios (not necessarily ones for newbies), check out the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the Moneywise Moms post HERE.
Good Luck!

Hey Shellie, the safeway bright green ips say “one per customer.” No fun for newbies to get beeped at!
hi Shellie, I’m linking to you for this week’s Tom Thumb/Randalls/Safeway deals and your great Living Well scenarios. Thanks! You rock getting free beer. That’s always my goal at the grocery store!
Thank you SO much! I just went today and did my first two transactions. I got $96 in groceries (retail) for $28 and I still have the $10 gift card. $96 of groceries for $18? Awesome!! Thanks for the great blog!
Oh, found you on Surviving the Stores.
****Note for the Bright Green Bleach: There are fliers advertising the Living Well Promo with store coupons on the back. There is a $1 off coupon for ANY bright green product.
There are also:
.50 off capri suns (pair with manufacture coupon from sundays paper)
$1 off sun chips
And others!
FYI, was able to print 4 Qs of the Dreamfields pasta with diff. codes. HTHs
oops! Meant to say 5 Qs per computer!
This is so helpful. Thanks!
Great Job Shellie! I linked to your post this morning
I was only able to print 2 dreamfields pasta coupons…I used both links. I tried different browsers on the same computer as well. I tried on my Mac laptop w/ Safari but I can only get them to print on my PC. thanks for any tips…

I tried this deal and it did not work for me AT ALL. First, the cashier said they would not accept duplicate internet coupons. So, instead of spending $16 out of pocket, I spent $26 out of pocket. Then, the catalinas did not print out. When I went to CS, they said that I did not qualify for a catalina because my total came to under $30 after coupons. When I tried to plead my case, all she said was, “I’m really sorry”. By that time, I had two screaming children on my hands and had to leave the store.
Hi just for your info..Trop50 coupons are not printing out 1.50 but 1.00 off…
I am with you Kate! I am new to couponing and thought i had all my orders together (even checked the upc #’s to make sure they were on the promo and i did 2 seperate $30 transactions and i did not get a catalina for either transaction…..i think my cashiers cat printer was out of paper
I tried to tell him something was up but by then there was a line behind me and my 4 kids (age 7 and under) where running on empty and whining….:(

Shellie says: My coworker did the Newbie Scenario today with me and we both got Catalinas. I bet it is something wrong with your store’s printer. If you know you have $30 in items, just call Catalina at 888-8COUPONS and they’ll mail you the $10 coupon. They can look up your receipt for you.
