Helping Christmas Cost Less: Part 2

One great way to earn extra money is to complete online surveys. There are quite a few legitimate survey companies that will pay you to give your opinions about various products and services. It does take time to complete them but if you completed one or two a day you would be well on your way to making quite a bit for Christmas. Start out easy though so you don’t get burnt out. Maybe do one only three days a week at first.

Most survey companies will pay you anywhere between $1 and $5 to complete a survey. Many require a minimum account balance before they pay out so once you start, you’ll want to stick with it. In the “amount saved” section below, I opted to only record earnings through October because it might take 30 days for you to get your payment.

I rounded up a few companies to get you started.

Amount Saved for Christmas: $135 (9 months (Feb-Oct) x $15)

A big thanks to Mommy Snacks for her help with this list.

Happy Saving!

    Which one(s) do you use?

Has anyone had any luck with any of these companies? I don’t want to give out my personal information only to get a bunch of spam and not get reimbursed fairly.

On this list I have only used Survey Spot, Inbox Dollars and Send Earnings. All of these companies are reputable. I consulted many other bloggers before I made the list and only listed companies that others I trusted had used with good results.

If you click the Mommy Snacks link at the bottom, you’ll be taken to Andrea’s post all about the various survey companies she’s used and descriptions for each of them. She has used all of the companies I listed and was my most valuable resource. I always try to post honest, ethical deals that I would do myself. I would feel comfortable using any of these companies. I just haven’t signed up with many of them due to my time limitations.

If you are going to take advantage of online surveys, I would recommend setting up a separate email address just for surveys so your regular email doesn’t get clogged.

Finally, I always say that you have to do what feels right for you and your family. If you’re doing something that makes you uncomfortable, you won’t be successful at it. So if you’re signing up for one of these companies and you just don’t think it feels right, then don’t sign up. I listed plenty of survey companies and one of the others might be a better fit.

      Hope that helps!
