Beginning tomorrow (11/20) Safeway and affiliates is launching a big gift card promo. Purchase $100 in participating gift cards and you’ll get a Catalina coupon for $15 off your next shopping trip. The participating stores are:

AMC, Applebee’s, AT&T, Bath & Body Works, Cheesecake Factory, DSW, Fandango, GAP, iTunes, JCPenney, The Keg, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Outback, Regal, Sears

You can mix and match as long as your total purchase is $100 in participating stores. Also keep in mind that most regions extended their 4x Gas Rewards on Gift Cards program through Dec 10. So in addition to get $15 off your next shopping purchase, you’ll also save $.40 per gallon.

For me, that works out to just over $7 for one of my 18-gallon fill-ups. That makes for a total of $22 in savings for each $100 gift card. That’s a pretty good deal in my opinion. We shop at Lowe’s quite a bit so I may just go grab a few $100 Lowe’s cards to keep on hand.

If you do opt to buy multiple $100 increments of gift cards, I would recommend separate transactions just to be safe. I don’t know if you can get more than one $15 Catalina coupon per transaction.

I mentioned earlier this morning about the great coupons available from the Wounded Warrior Project and Smartsource. One of the coupons is a $1/2 Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce coupon. Stack this coupon with the in-ad coupon available at Safeway for a good deal on canned cranberry sauce. Here’s the scoop:

Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce – $1.59 (Must Buy 2)
-Use $1/2 Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce printable coupon AND
-Use $1/2 Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce Safeway coupon
Final Price = $1.18 for 2 ($.59 each)

This coupon is in the Safeway ad that runs through Thanksgiving so you have plenty of time to do this deal. I would print the coupon now though, just to be safe. We may see lower prices at Target, Walmart and other stores as Thanksgiving approaches. I think $.59 is still a pretty good price so you can also shop Safeway if you don’t find it for less elsewhere.
