Fun Friday Giveaway: H&R Block Tax Software

HRB VDay Fun Friday Giveaway: H&R Block Tax Software

Yes, I know I already posted a giveaway this morning and no I didn’t goof! With it being so close to Valentine’s Day I thought I’d double the love today and offer two giveaways. This one may not be quite so fun since it is for taxes but I guarantee you will be glad you have it!

Starting today (2/12) through Sunday, February 14, you can register to use any H&R Block at Home online product for only $14. This is a discount of 50-70%. It’s quite a steal really. If I didn’t have to have a CPA prepare my taxes this year I would jump on this opportunity!

If you register Feb. 12-14, you will receive the full menu of advanced features that H&R Block At Home Basic, Deluxe and Premium offer, such as:

  • Audit support from a live tax professional
  • Import last year’s tax data from TurboTax or TaxCut
  • Automatic import of data from your employer and financial provider
  • Tailored guidance for your personal situation or occupation
  • Easy-to-use tax calculator

Plus, one of the best perks about this promo is you only need to register to lock in the $14 price. You don’t even have to pay until you complete your taxes! So you can register now, you can wait and do your taxes April 14. Or if you aren’t certain you can do it on your own, you can register and check it out. If you end up not using it, you don’t have to pay. It’s really a win/win. Learn more and register HERE.

H&R Block has generously offered to give one of my readers one copy of their Deluxe Software! This giveaway is for the H&R Block software that you will load onto your computer and use. It is very similar to the online products but is the actual physical software.

Ready to win? As usual, there are 3 methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment telling me what you typically do with your tax refund. I guess my husband and I could be considered boring. We just go out for sushi and put the rest in savings.

2. Subscribe to Saving with Shellie via RSS feeds, email or Facebook. If you already subscribe, leave a second separate entry saying you do so.

3. Follow me on Twitter and feel free to Tweet about the giveaway. Be sure you leave a separate entry with your Twitter address.

This giveaway will end Tuesday 2/16 at 11:59pm. I’ll announce the winner on Wednesday 2/17.

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by H&R Block. Products were provided for giveaway purposes. This post was not reviewed or edited by H&R Block and the thoughts and opinions are completely mine. Others may have a different experience.

Fun Friday Giveaway: Jiffy Lube Goes Red

by Shellie on February 12, 2010

aboutMPFL Fun Friday Giveaway: Jiffy Lube Goes Red

According to the American Heart Association, nearly 2,400 Americans die of cardiovascular disease each day – an average death of one every 37 seconds. To help emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy heart, Jiffy Lube will be continuing its support in the fight against heart disease.

The Maintenance Partners for Life seeks to raise more than $1 million to help fight heart disease.  Customers at participating Jiffy Lube service centers across the U.S. can support this cause with a donation of $3, receiving in return a Jiffy Lube Maintenance Partners for Life savings book containing heart-healthy recipes, as well as $100 in savings from Jiffy Lube.  100% of the funds will benefit local AHA chapters in the communities in which they funds are raised.  You can also donate online at JiffyLubeGoesRed.com.

To help spread the word about the importance of a healthy heart and a heathy vehicle Jiffy Lube has a special prize pack available for (3) lucky Saving with Shellie readers. Each winner will receive a $100 savings book as well as a $35 gift card.

Ready to win? There are 3 methods of entry:

1. Visit JiffyLubeGoesRed.com and take the Go Red Heart Check Up to assess your heart health. Leave a comment and if you’re brave enough, share your results. I got “very low risk”. I guess I’ll keep doing what I’m doing!

2. Visit JiffyLubeGoesRed.com and take the Jiffy Lube Car Check Up to assess your vehicle preventive maintenance knowledge. Leave a second comment and share your results. I had mostly green plus sign but a few red minuses too. I’ll have to get hubs to look into that!

3. Become a fan of the Jiffy Lube Maintenance Partners for Life campaign on Facebook to support the cause. Come back and leave a third comment.

This giveaway will end Tuesday 2/16 at 11:59pm. I’ll announce all winners on Wednesday 2/17.

7 Days of Giveaways: Day 6

SyncUp 7 Days of Giveaways: Day 6

I hope you’ve had fun with 7 Days of Giveaways. Today’s is really fun too.

You’re probably already familiar with USAOPOLY. They have several family friendly, famous games like Monopoly, Life, Jenga and Clue. But the famous titles aren’t the only good ones. I’d like to introduce you to three of their newer game additions: Ratuki, Sync Up! and Telestrations.

Ratuki (ra-too-kee) is the fast flippin’, quick grabbin’ fun family card game where up to 5 players simultaneously race to get rid of their cards and collect the most points! If you like speed, you’ll love the action-packed excitement of Ratuki! TO me, this game seemed like a combination of Uno and Skipbo to me, but more Skipbo than Uno. The big difference is that instead of only increasing in numbers, you can go down as well. It’s a fun game for the whole family. It is made for ages 7+ but I think younger kids learning number sequences could enjoy it too if they teamed up with mom or dad.

Sync Up! is the hilarious new party game where players are paired up to try and say the same thing at the same time. With a variety of fun categories, only a few seconds to answer, and a different partner every round, each game’s a toss up of who’s going to Sync Up! the most to win. Buy it at Barnes & Noble. In my opinion This game is a little confusing at first but once you get the jist of it, it’s really fun. It’s hard to say things at the exact same time when you’re trying to do it! This is made for ages 13+.

Telestrations is the laugh-out-loud sketch, pass and guess party game where players simultaneously draw what they see, then guess what they saw for hilarious and unpredictable outcomes every time! I thought it was The telephone game meets Pictionary. The first game was a little tricky but once we realized how to flip and pass the books we thought it was pretty fun.

USAOPOLY has generously offered to give one of my readers a copy of each of these three games.

Ready to win? There are 3 methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment telling me what’s your favorite activity to do as a family.

2. Subscribe to Saving with Shellie via RSS feeds, email or Facebook. If you already subscribe, leave a second separate entry saying you do so.

3. Follow me on Twitter and feel free to Tweet about the giveaway. Be sure you leave a separate entry with your Twitter address.

All “7 Days of Giveaways” offers will end Tuesday 1/12 at 11:59pm. I’ll announce all winners on Wednesday 1/13.

Disclosure: This Post was sponsored by USAOPOLY. Products were provided for review and giveaway purposes. This post was not reviewed or edited by USAOPOLY and the thoughts and opinions are completely mine. Others may have a different experience.

7 Days of Giveaways: Day 5

SEDARAHC cards 7 Days of Giveaways: Day 5

Today’s giveaway comes from Sedarahc. If you are like me, you’re probably staring at that word trying to figure out how to pronounce it. Not quite as hard as it looks: “suh-DARE-ic”. This is a games that introduces a twist on the classic charades game. In charades one person acts out a word or phrase and the entire team tries to guess. Well, in Sedarahc, the entire team has to act it out and only one person is left to guess. It’s hard but lots of fun.

We played this over the Holidays and had lot of fun. It’s great for kids because they can help you act out the scenes and feel included. But don’t think it’s always easy! You have to really work at it to have your whole tam work together without talking to act something out. If your family or friends like playing games, I think you’ll really enjoy this game.

You can purchase is on the Sedarahc website HERE for $19.99. Or you can try to win a copy. The people at Sedarahc have generously offered a copy of the game to one of my readers!

Ready to win? There are 3 methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment telling me why you’d like to try out this fun new game.

2. Subscribe to Saving with Shellie via RSS feeds, email or Facebook. If you already subscribe, leave a second separate entry saying you do so.

3. Follow me on Twitter and feel free to Tweet about the giveaway. Be sure you leave a separate entry with your Twitter address.

7 Days of Giveaways: Day 4

YOYO LIPGLOSS ASSORTED 7 Days of Giveaways: Day 4

You may have seen YOYO Lip Gloss in my Holiday Gift Guide. I passed mine on to my 10 year-old cousin and she thought they were really cool. The retractable clip makes it easy to keep track of your gloss. It’s sturdy but still fun to use. It comes in flavors like Girly Green Apple and Big Bounce Bubblegum. Plus, the gloss is very light in color, almost clear so you won’t have to worry about your tween or teen looking too made-up.

It can be purchased at Rainbow Kids Stores (TX, TN), Discovery Clothing Company (IL) or online HERE. They are pretty reasonably priced and would make a fun treat for your favorite teen or tween.

The folks at YOYO Lip Gloss want to give one of you a 4-pack of their gloss, one of each of their fun flavors.

Ready to win? There are 3 methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment telling me what your biggest teenage fashion mistake was. I made so many it’s hard to pinpoint just one but I think the perm was probably the worst.
