Whole Foods: Grass-Fed Beef – $4.99/lb (9/2)

Whole Foods is at it again with their fabulous One Day Sales. This Friday (9/2), you can get Grass-fed Beef for just $4.99 per pound. Depending on where you live, your grass-fed beef may even be organic. The Whole Foods blog lists the definition of “grass-fed” as well as the benefits and each ranch or alliance Whole Food receives their beef from so you can read all about the source of your meat.

I think this is great! For Texas readers, Whole Foods supports the Grassfed Livestock Alliance which features Texas ranchers. So not only are you getting grass-fed beef for less, you are also supporting our own Ranchers. Win-win.

I would get there early because most stores do not offer rain checks on One Day Sale items and quantities can disappear quickly. There is also a 10 pound limit per person on this offer.

My Coke Rewards: Earn Points for Gear for Your School

If you buy Coca-Cola Products you should be familiar with the My Coke Rewards program. I’ve blogged about it in the past as a way to get coupons and magazine subscriptions but I’ve got a great new opportunity to tell you about today.

My Coke Rewards has teamed up with local schools for even better rewards. You can now donate your points to your school so it can get great rewards like art supplies, sports equipment and fill other support needs. You don’t even need to have a child at a particular school to participate. If there is a school that’s near and dear to your heart or maybe you volunteer with a disadvantaged youth, look for those schools.

Visit My Coke rewards for schools to register and donate your points to specific schools. This is a free, easy way to help them get new gear and other goodies. Don’t see your school listed? Parents and School Administrators can register your school in the program. You will need to appoint a School Coordinator to manage the school’s account so parents may want to check with the school first.

Then spread the word about donating points to support your school and check out the school rewards catalog.

And even better, from July 13 through September 30, Sprite is giving away (25) $25K grants for schools to use for a new outdoor active space. Sprite is also giving consumers who purchase and enter a code from any package of Sprite/Sprite Zero an entry into the sweepstakes to help their school win. In addition, every three points donated to the school through the Sprite Spark Parks for Schools sweepstakes will give the school additional chances. Any new school that registers will be given a chance to win. Sweet!

Safeway Coupon Deals (8/31 – 9/6)

Don’t forget to check for the MDA Coupon Book when you shop this week. Many people have reported finding these in stores or at their Customer Service desk.

My store triples coupons up to $.39 and doubles up to $.50. It will only multiply one like coupon and does not accept coupons on free items. This was taken into consideration when doing the matchup. New to shopping at Safeway? Read about changes to their coupon policy.
