I know you’ve seen all the decorative balls in the Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel catalogues. People use them as vase fillers or put them in decorative bowls. Even at Target those balls are pretty spendy.
The one you see pictured above was actually made with a jute mat and a nerf ball. Both found at a local dollar store. If you can wield a glue gun, you can make this project.
She used a basketball but I bet you could use balls of varying sizes and make lots of decor balls. Check out the full tutorial at House of Hepworths.

This week’s Shopper of the Week didn’t just get her deals at the grocery store. Since I’m sure most of you are wondering why there is a TV in the picture, I’ll start with that.
Stephany’s job is to empty estates when someone has passed away. The particular home they were working on required everything be removed by end of the month, disposed of or donated. Since the TV & DVD player are considered hazardous waste in her state, it would have cost money to dispose of them. Stephany graciously offered to take the TV and DVD player home. Voila! Free TV and DVD player!
The other items are things she got at several stores around town like Rite Aid and CVS. She paid $154.86 for everything you see plus has $61.99 coming back to her in the form of Extra Care Bucks, Rite Aide SCR, rebates and gift cards. The non-sale, non-coupon cost would have been $496.38. I’d say she did pretty well.
