Whew! Doing the matchups this week gave me a headache! The Pillsbury promotion is a bit confusing. I hope I explained it well enough for you! You won’t see it advertised in the weekly flier because Catalina promotions rarely are advertised. Same goes with the Old El Paso one.
I also kept referring to a Simple and Affordable coupon book. These are supposed to be available in all stores. I have yet to find one in Austin, however I have read on a few message boards that some Austinites have been able to find them. If you find the book, please leave a comment saying where in the store it was so we can search them out more easily.
My store triples coupons up to $.39 and doubles up to $.50. It will only multiply one like coupon and does not accept coupons on free items. This was taken into consideration when doing the matchup. Don’t forget to load your Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons before you go!
Most of these deals should be valid at all Safeway affiliates (Carrs, Dominick’s, Genuardi’s, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Safeway, and Vons) but be sure to check your local ad.

All Pillsbury refigerated items will generate a Catalina coupon that you can use on your next order. Here are the amounts and requirements:

Pillsbury offers a few of their products in smaller size cans. These smaller items are not only cheaper but they also qualify for the promotion. Some of the smaller items include:

I live on the out skirts of Houston. I was able to find the Simple & Affordable booklets in several locations throughout the store. Actually I was shopping Friday when a lady came up to me handing me one of the books saying “here, you use coupons don’t you”? I wonder if it was my huge coupon binder that tipped her off ?? Apparently she was setting up the displays in the store.
Anyway, I found another stack on the counter in the floral dept & then another display near the meat dept.
I live in NW Austin. In my store, the coupon books were located on an end cap in the back of the store. I found them last Sunday. Go figure!
There is a .55 on cellfire for the Lucky Charms.

I just found the coupon booklet this morning at the Randalls on Ben White and Manchaca. It was on a display on top of the rotisserie chicken near the deli department. :)
In NW Houston, I found the displays in several locations. The first one was an endcap to one of the aisles and was directly in front of the meat section. Others were distributed throughout the store. Also, there is also another book w/manufacturer’s coupons that I found in the shampoo aisle .. most coupons don’t expire until FEB 2009.

I live in Phoenix, AZ. and have found the Simple and Affordable books at many of the Safeways . I have found them on an endcap by the Ragu toward the back of the store and on an endcap with dressing toward the back of the store. There is also a “Game Day Greats” party playbook with recipes and coupons available at many of the Safeways . It has $6 in coupons in it for Planters Nuts, Cream Cheese, Nabisco Crackers etc.
I live in North Austin and I found several in the back of the store on an end cap displaying Hamburger Helper. I also found some buried underneath the store ads at the front of the store! HTH
I found them in S. Austin at the Wm. Cannon/Mo-Pac Randall’s.

I was wondering if you can use more then 1 simple and affordable coupon per item? For instance with the Progresso soup, can I use 5 of the $.75 off 2 coupons? Will they beep? Kinda confused. Please help.

Shellie, Did u try the biscuit coupon deal that Maylin asked about? I am wondering the same thing as I will be shopping Tues. and does the catalina promo end Tues. when circular does? I’m glad to hear that the smaller ones qualify but didn’t see the grands jr.s listed. Do they qualify like the other small ones u mentioned?
